In light and shadow: Black and white photography
A series of black and white photographs, a collection of details captured during Atif’s visit to Belgrade in July 2013. The sculptural details are separated from their whole and ripped apart from their intended character and their original personality. Not knowing how to string the pieces back into their original shape, the viewers are subconsciously pushed toward inventing a story of their own and a different, unintended kind of emotion, and feelings informed by shapes derived from patterns of shadow and light are extracted.
