The mysterious protagonist – played by Milica Radmilovic – is strong but not hard, beautiful yet not quite delicate. Whether in the collection’s rich green velvet gown or its billowy black blouses and riding boots, the one thing AbuSamra’s images never fail to do is captivate with their dark and luxurious allure. MAC Cosmetics | Reel sexy makeup collection | Beauty photography

Inspired by M.A.C Cosmetics‘ Reel Sexy collection: Heroine, Pink Popcorn, Reel Sexy and Watch Me Simmer, comes a beauty editorial photographed by a beauty photographer in Dubai, Atif AbuSamra. A cinematic drama in shades of bright violet plum, lavender, light bright coral and bright pink oranges, unravels in front of our eyes – or rather, in front of our Heroines’ eyes, in this instance played by Albe and Masha.

In this documentary art photography collection, the details are separated from their whole and ripped apart from their intended character and their original personality. Not knowing how to string the pieces back into their original shape, the viewers are subconsciously pushed toward inventing a story of their own and a different, unintended kind of emotion, and feelings informed by shapes derived from patterns of shadow and light are extracted.
